STEPS TO CHOOSING AND PURCHASING YOUR NEW HOME
Over the next few weeks we will review the key steps, information and tools to find, finance, and purchase a home that has everything you are looking for.
Let’s get started!
Step 1. Find a Buyers Representative (Agent) And yes in the state of GA your can have Representation without a fee to you.
Why? You ask….
How often do you purchase real estate?
Enough to know all the ins and outs of a major transaction complicated with so many details that change every year?
Would you go before a Judge without a Lawyer?
Then why would you go into purchasing one of your biggest investments without proper representation?
In most home purchasing negotiations, the Seller is represented by a Listing Agent with a legal contract that says just that. And is working to get the Sellers the best deal possible.
So why as a Buyer would you not want someone in your corner looking out for your best interest?
When choosing, make sure the Agent is a REALTOR, a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) , Realtors must subscribe to a strict Code of Ethics and goes through continues training. An Accredited Buyers Representative is an advocate for a buyer in a real estate transaction. A Realtor with the ABR designation has taken the next step, they have completed the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) training and completed a required amount of transactions to receive and use the ABR designation. (To find a REALTOR that holds the ABR designation visit REBAC.NET )
Once you have chosen your Representative then the fun can start and we can look at homes together.
